How It Works...

 

Event Details

When: Friday, May 10th, 2024 (6:00pm-10:00pm) Where: WMB Church (19 Ottawa St. N. Kitchener)

Featured At Event: indoor and outdoor event, 50-80 vendors expected, live music and other entertainment (starting approx. 8:00pm), multiple food trucks, kids attractions, auction, Youth Week 2024 Raffle, etc.

 

Vendor Information

  • Set Up Time: 5pm-6pm | Take Down Time: 10pm-11pm

  • Vendor Fee: FREE (upon commitment of sales percentage) + $10.00 deposit (returned upon attendance)

NEW THIS YEAR: $10.00 DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR SPOT

Unlike other markets, there is no upfront cost or table fee needed to be a vendor at this event. Instead, vendors pledge a percentage of their sales total to oneROOF Youth Services. Following the event, the portion pledged can be sent in a variety of ways. We ask that all vendors submit a $10.00 deposit (returned upon attendance) to secure your spot. No-shows will not be refunded.

  • Booth Information: Outdoor booths are 10x10, tables and chairs not provided. Indoor booths available in two sizes; tables and chairs provided. Please do not bring any additional tables for indoor booths. Tents and additional furniture welcome for outdoor booths only; tents not provided. Electrical access not guaranteed for outdoor booths. Tables are approx. 6’-8’ in length. Booth assignments, dimensions, and further details will be provided in vendor confirmation emails, expected as early as March 31st.

19 Ottawa St N, Kitchener, ON N2H 3K2. WMB Church, Kitchener Site:

  • 30 outdoor vendors in main lot + food trucks

  • 40 indoor vendors + stage space in gymnasium

Accessibility & Loading: Ramp entrance off Brick St. to back door near gymnasium.

Parking: On-site parking available, street parking on Rosedale Ave & Brick St.

 

Vendor Registration Deadline: March 31st, 2024

Confirmation of your participation, including your booth assignment and any relevant set up instructions will be sent to the email provided on your Vendor Registration Form, following the registration deadline.

Promotional Tools

A promotional package (including social media images and sample captions) will be sent to the email submitted on your Vendor Registration Form, as early as April 1st, 2024.

Rain Plan

In the event of extreme weather, some indoor spaces will be made available

Outdoor vendors should be prepared for the expected weather. Tents are not provided. If the weather conditions are extreme we will do our best to reassign as many outdoor vendors as possible, indoors (with the exception of food truck and food/beverage vendors). To accommodate this change, any indoor vendor originally assigned to a medium sized booth will be reassigned to a small booth. Small booths are made up of one 6-8’ table and two chairs. Vendors will be notified in advance if a rain plan is enacted.

The Impact


Raising Funds & Awareness For Youth Homelessness

oneROOF Youth Services’ Youth Week is all about our youth. The young people who access oneROOF Youth Services will spend the week participating in a variety of unique programming, from special meal days to friendly games and sports tournaments. Each year, we close out the week with a grand fundraising event, open to the public. This year’s event is our FREE Night Market & Concert.

Join our group of entrepreneurs, artists, and small business owners this May to raise funds and awareness for youth homelessness. All funds raised will go directly to general operations at oneROOF Youth Services. To learn more about our impact, click here.

The Benefits For You

NO RISK: With no entry fee, vendors are free to participate and grow at their own pace. Vendors pledge to donate a portion of their earning at the market. The $10.00 booth deposit will be taken off that total.

COMMUNITY: Gain new customers and become a part of our vendor community by pledging to donate a portion of your sales to oneROOF Youth Services during Youth Week 2024.⁠ We welcome businesses large and small and encourage vendor connection through our online vendor community space, The Vendor Chatroom.

PROMOTION: All vendors will be promoted on the oneROOF Youth Services Youth Week website page.

TAX RECEIPT: A tax receipt will be issued.

Remote Participation

Can’t attend? Consider participating remotely…

HOW IT WORKS: emote vendors participate by pledging a percentage of their business's sales total from May 4th-10th 2024 (Youth Week) to oneROOF Youth Services. Following Youth Week, the portion pledged can be sent in a variety of ways.

Example: Adam's auto shop business is a remote participant who pledged to donate 25% of his profits. During Youth Week (May 4th-10th) Adam's business makes $2000. Following Youth Week, Adam's business donates $500 to oneROOF Youth Services and receives a donation tax receipt.
