Each year, we close out Youth Week with a grand fundraising event, open to the public. This year’s event is our FREE Night Market & Concert, happening Friday, May 10th, 2024 at WMB Church, Kitchener.

Youth Activities This Week
All week long, the youth we serve can choose to participate in specialty programming, in celebration of Youth Week.
Regular programming will still be available via our LifeLine (Drop-in/Essential Services) department. This additional programming is meant to provide further opportunities for youth to connect with each other, as well as with their community. These events are private; for youth accessing oneROOF Youth Services only.

Celebrate spring with a sweet treat! Youth can get creative and build the perfect sundae with all the fixings to celebrate warm weather of spring.

Story Sunday: What Have You Been Reading?
A volunteer lead event giving a chance for youth to discuss what they have been reading and get something new to read.
Mini Doughnut Day: Special Treat Day!
A fresh baked treat. Youth can enjoy the opportunity to socialize while enjoying freshly made mini doughnuts.

Message Monday: Youth Voices
We believe in #BreakingTheSilence by offering the youth we serve an opportunity to share their story. In an online segment we call Youth Voices, our young people are given the chance to anonymously share their journeys, struggles, and success stories. A writing station will be made available for youth to once again put forth their #YouthVoices submissions.
Pizza Party: Special Meal Day!
Youth and staff will be treated to pizza, donated by Bingemans Boston Pizza.

Taco Tuesday: Special Meal Day!
A youth social meal with all the fixings, thanks to our in-house chef and youth volunteers.
Sweat It Tuesday: Group Exercise
A volunteer lead one-hour gift youth can give to themselves to move their bodies to great music and discover their physical and mental strength.

Walk Wednesday: Inspiration Rocks
Youth and staff are taking to the blocks surrounding our campus to place youth decorated message rocks in the neighbourhood. Each rock will help spread a positive message! Weather permitting.
The Works Wednesday: Special Meal Day!
Youth can explore how many toppings they can add to create the perfect poutine meal.
